Reopening of Carlo Acutis' Tomb in Assisi

The Beatified "Influencer of God"

Where to Find the Tomb of Carlo Acutis

Following the evening Mass on Tuesday, Bishop Domenico Sorrentino of Assisi has reopened the tomb of Carlo Acutis, the young Catholic who died at only 15 and was beatified by the Church as "the influencer of God".

Acutis was born in London in 1991 and lived in Milan, Italy. He was a devout Catholic who spent much of his time volunteering and helping others, and he is known for his love of the Eucharist and his devotion to the Virgin Mary. He also had a passion for technology and used it to spread his faith online.

Acutis died of leukemia in 2006, and he was beatified in 2020. His tomb is located in the Basilica of San Francesco in Assisi, Italy, where it has become a popular pilgrimage destination for those seeking inspiration from his life and faith.
