Los Angeles Continues Hot Streak, Ohtani Loses 1st Game Since July
The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their winning ways on Wednesday night, beating the Los Angeles Angels 3-1 at Angel Stadium.
The win was the Dodgers' fifth in a row and improved their record to 86-36 on the season.
The Angels, meanwhile, dropped to 54-68 with the loss.
Ohtani's First Loss Since July
Wednesday's loss was the first for Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani since July 19th.
The last game he lost was a 2-1 loss to the Chicago Cubs.
Ohtani pitched six innings against the Dodgers, allowing three runs on six hits.
Dodgers' Offensive Output
Justin Turner got the Dodgers on the board in the first inning with a solo home run off of Ohtani.
The Dodgers added two more runs in the third inning on a groundout by James Outman.
Mookie Betts extended the Dodgers' lead to 3-0 in the sixth inning with an RBI single.

The Dodgers will face the Angels again on Thursday night in the second game of their three-game series. Julio Urias will start for the Dodgers, while Reid Detmers will start for the Angels.
