Arsenal Qualify for Europa League Knockout Stage with Narrow Win over PSV
Granit Xhaka's Winner Secures Spot for Gunners
London, England - Arsenal secured their place in the knockout stage of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, November 3rd, with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over PSV Eindhoven at the Emirates Stadium.
Xhaka's Goal the Difference
After a goalless first half, Granit Xhaka broke the deadlock in the 71st minute with a clinical finish from inside the box. PSV responded quickly through Noni Madueke's equalizer just seven minutes later, but Arsenal regained the lead through a Bukayo Saka penalty in the 90th minute to seal the victory.
The three points move Arsenal to the top of Group A with 12 points from five games. They will now face FK Bodø/Glimt in their final group match on December 9th.
